Discover Your Path…

An Intentional Approach
to Therapy

Let’s face it - life can feel like a climb.  At times, life’s challenges can feel heavy and a never ending journey. However,  we can learn to relate to the climb differently. We can learn how to navigate the joys and challenges of life. We can get to know how our mind and body functions so that we can learn how to respond more effectively.

If you choose to work with me, we will collaborate to determine how you want to respond to your life. What skills do you need to learn? How can you learn to know your mind and body better to support your mental health? How can I support you in identifying strengths and supports that are already accessible to you? These are the types of questions I would explore with you as you climb!

Your Guide

  • Prior to completing her licensure, she worked in non-profit organizations, schools, and research institutions — a background she never expected would lead her to clinical social work. Outside of therapy, Melanie also teaches graduate social work classes at the Rutgers School of Social Work and the University of Connecticut (UConn).

  • Melanie's professional life is important to her — but so is having fun! When she's not working, she enjoys reading, moving her body (ideally to really good music), spending time with friends and family, exploring new places (whether in nature or a city), and of course, her dog.
